About Us

Amos Communications Inc. Home Office

Amos Communications began in 1971 as Salem Color Press, Inc. Through the years, we have always tried to be the most effective business development resource possible for our customers. Read our Testimonials page to see how we have succeeded.

We take pride in Amos Communications and the work that we do which ranges from brochures, short run packaging, posters and point of purchase displays to catalogs, magazines, newsletters, stationery packages to direct mail pieces -- postcards, letters, self mailers and much, much more.

One reason for our success is that we value our relationships with everyone and every thing, whether they be an employee, customer or the earth. Amos Communications, Inc. is one of only a handful of printers in the United States to print using the 100% waterless process. Waterless printing is more eco-friendly than conventional printing since it does not contaminate any water. Conventional printing uses water and an alcohol substitute as primary components of production. After mixing with the alcohol substitute, water must be sent through wastewater facilities in order to be reclaimed. Some scientists claim that the shortage of clean water will in the future become a significant global issue. As the water/alcohol substitute evaporates, volatile organic compounds (VOC's) are released into the atmosphere. VOC's are considered by some scientists to be a cause of global warming.

Waterless adds the benefit of more vibrant and consistent colors. Since waterless inks cannot be diluted by mixing with water, heavier densities of ink can be printed. The result is a larger gamut of colors that can be produced from 4 color process inks. The colors are more consistent than with conventional printing since the press operators do not have to maintain proper ink/water balance settings.

Another environmentally sound option that Amos Communications offers is the use of recycled paper for printing.

We are a proud member of The Waterless Printing Association. For more information on how we can help you grow profitably through the use of your graphic communications, call us at 800 426-7558 or email us at info@amoscom.com.
